Terms of Service
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SomeTimes (the "app," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using SomeTimes, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use SomeTimes. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up to confirm this. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.
Your Account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when you sign up, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away at help@sometimessocial.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Each person may keep one account. Usernames are unique and assigned on a first-come basis — we don't guarantee you'll be able to reserve or reuse a particular username.
Your Content
SomeTimes lets you post photos, videos, captions, comments, reactions, and messages ("your content"). You own the content you post. By posting it, you grant SomeTimes a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it strictly as needed to operate the app and deliver it to the audience you choose for that content.
Every memory you post carries a privacy level that you control — public, friends, or private — and you can change it, or delete the memory entirely, at any time. We display your content to the audience defined by that setting and no further; we don't use it for advertising and we don't sell it.
You're responsible for the content you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or that violates someone else's privacy or intellectual property rights.
Acceptable Use
To keep SomeTimes a place people feel safe using, you agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, or sexually exploitative, especially of minors
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
- Bully, stalk, or harass other users
- Post spam, or use the app for unauthorized commercial promotion
- Attempt to access another user's account or content without permission
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation
You can block anyone at any time to stop seeing their content and prevent them from seeing yours; only you can see your own block list. You can report a post or profile that violates these Terms, and our team reviews reports to decide what action to take.
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your profile and cascades to your memories, media, comments, likes, group memberships, and follows, and cannot be undone. You can also stop using the app at any time without formally deleting your account, though your content will remain until you do.
Intellectual Property
The SomeTimes name, logo, and app design are owned by SomeTimes. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or underlying software beyond what's needed to use the app as intended.
Third-Party Services
SomeTimes relies on third-party infrastructure — including Supabase for our database, authentication, and storage, and Expo's push notification service to deliver alerts — to operate. We aren't responsible for outages or issues caused by these providers that are outside our control.
Disclaimers
SomeTimes is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content you post will never be lost — back up anything irreplaceable.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SomeTimes and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for content posted by other users.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to SomeTimes if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the app. You may stop using the app or delete your account at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect. Continued use of SomeTimes after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
